How to get to Stockholm Arlanda Airport by Taxi

All passengers that arrive at Stockholm Arlanda Airport can quickly and conveniently find a taxi service that can bring you to your preferred destination.

You can reach Stockholm City Center by taxi from the ARN Airport within a 40-minutes’ drive, as the airport is located approximately 23 miles/37 kilometers north of Stockholm and nearly 25 miles/40 kilometers south-east of Uppsala.

You will also find taxis accessible by wheelchairs, however, please make sure to make a former request for this service.

Taxi pick-up areas at Stockholm Arlanda Airport

You will find the taxi pick-up areas outside all of the Stockholm Airport Terminals. There will only be taxis available at the taxi stand that have an agreement with Stockholm Arlanda Airport. The taxi rank is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Taxi rates to and from Stockholm Arlanda Airport

The fare from ARN Airport to Stockholm City Center is approximately SEK 350.00 to 430.00. However, the maximum fare for trips within the marked zones boundaries is SEK 675.00. This price is for 1–4 passengers and to only one address.

For taxi fares outside the marked zone boundaries, the meter rate applies.

For more than 4 passengers (up to 8), the fare will vary between the taxi companies. Please ask your taxi driver before you start your trip.

Free price setting

The taxi market is deregulated in Sweden, which means that the free price setting applies to all taxi rides in the country. Please choose the Taxi Company and car that best matches your needs. You are NOT obligated to take the taxi cap that is first in line.

Comparative price

The comparative price is calculated based on a “typical journey” with a distance of 10 kilometers that takes 15 minutes. You will find the comparative price in large black digits on a yellow background in each taxi.

Fixed prices

We highly recommend that you always ask if the taxi company applies fixed prices. Please note, that if you have received a fixed price, this should be entered and visible in the taximeter before you start your taxi trip. The taximeter must be activated at all times throughout your taxi fare.

You can pay the taxi companies will either cash or any major Credit Cards. We recommend passengers to keep the receipt of all taxi journeys in case of lost items to retrieve or to make a complaint against your journey.
